A New Voice for Sierra Vista

Endorsements

Fri, 07/30/2010

The Greater Sierra Vista Area Chamber of Commerce board of directors has voted to endorse Brad Snyder for Sierra Vista City Council.

According to Susan Tegmeyer, President and CEO of the Sierra Vista chamber, the chamber has chosen to endorse Brad Snyder because he represents the future: “As a member of the business community, Brad will bring a new perspective and add a new dimension to the council.” Snyder has been involved in numerous Sierra Vista community activities, including the youth programs and as a member of the Planning and Zoning Commission. He is a graduate of the chamber’s Leadership program and is a current member of the board of directors.

The chamber chooses to endorse individual Candidates for office based on criteria set forth in its candidate endorsement policy. This may occur when significant differences are noted among the candidates as to their attitudes and views with respect to issues of importance to the business community.

We are enthusiastically endorsing Brad Snyder for a seat on Sierra Vista City Council for many reasons.  His bio lists many of them; his extensive successful business background, community leadership involvement, his involvement in community activities for our families and children.  Knowing Brad and his wife, Iwona, we also know that for a council member to be successful in representing us he/she needs to be fully supported by their spouse and family.  Brad will have that support.  Brad will also bring to the City's governing issues a younger, fresher business perspective that we have not had in many years.  We believe his ability and willingness to listen to constituents as well as fellow council members will allow him to ask the hard questions and make the sound decisions our city will need in the future.  We encourage everyone to support Brad and put this rising young civic star onto our city council.

It is a pleasure to add my endorsement to the campaign to elect Brad Snyder to the Sierra Vista City Council.  I’ve known Brad for several years and am convinced that he is the right person for the job at this critical point in our city’s development.  Brad has proven himself to be an honest and skilled businessman, a concerned citizen, and an energetic leader.  I will vote for Brad this year and urge everyone who wants our city government to exercise fiscal responsibility and prudent city planning in charting our city’s future.

I wholeheartedly endorse Brad Snyder for Sierra Vista City Council.  I have known Brad for over 5 years and know he would be a great community leader.  Brad’s involvement in the community through City Planning and the Chamber of Commerce has clearly shown his concern and support of area businesses.  My interaction with Brad as a Realtor, radio personality and former business manager convinces me that Brad has a vast knowledge of our business community and a clear vision for the future of the City of Sierra Vista.

I am supporting Brad Snyder in his campaign for Sierra Vista City Council. I believe the council should be as diverse as the community it represents and since the business community contributes so much to our city, having a business person on the council is vital. It is difficult for a businessperson to serve on the council since the everyday demands of commerce can be overwhelming and unpredictable and for Brad to offer to step up and do the important work the council is charged with in addition to his already busy schedule is commendable. He is engaged, clear thinking, practical and will be an excellent addition to the Sierra Vista City Council. Sierra Vista is a wonderful place to live and deserves the quality of leadership Brad will provide.
